Folios 232-233: Philip Gidley King to Matthew Flinders, HMS Investigator. He is asked to discharge 40 named crew members from HMS Investigator into HMS Porpoise to return to England. Hugh Bell Surgeon is to go to HMS Bridgewater. Thomas Evans, Midshipman will go to sick quarters. Robert Brown, naturalist and Ridance Bauer, painter of natural history are to remain here following their pursuits so they should be discharged with their five servants. One Officer should remain on HMS Investigator along with Robert Colpitts, Gunner. Stores and armaments aboard should be delivered to the Commissioner of Provisions here, supervised by Colpitts Gunner and with receipts.
