Description

Folios 536-537: Joshua Mulock, HMS Childers, Sheerness. Encloses a letter from Lieutenant Walton about some redress for the flagrant insult he received in execution of his duty.

Folios 538-539: enclosure with folios 536-537. Letter dated 21 November 1793 by Jacob Walton, HMS Childers at sea, to Captain Mulock. Reports on an incident on board Hannah of Whitby, John Ripley, Master, in which Walton experienced violence and gross insults.

Folios 539A-539B: enclosure with folios 536-537. Note stating that Mr Dyson does not think it will be adviseable for the public to commence any prosecution against the Master for his assualt on Lieutenant Walton.
