Folios 476-477: James Nicoll Morris, HMS Pluto, Scilly. Following orders from Rear Admiral Sir Hyde Parker, having seen the vessels in his convoy to their respective ports between Portsmouth and Lands End, and those bound round the land having parted company at The Lizard on 25 February, he has been attempting to pass the Scillies but has been prevented by gales. During one such gale he put into Falmouth to secure the masts. He arrived last night to find The Sailings [survey vessel] had sailed on 19 February and Mr Spencer on 17 February in HMS Dolphin. He will remain until further orders. Encloses a copy of his journal and the state and condition report for his ship [neither present].
Folio 478-479: enclosure with folios 476-477: copy of orders dated 16 February 1793 issued by Rear Admiral H Parker, on board HMS Victory at Spithead, to Captain Morris, HMS Pluto to take the Sailings survey vessel under convoy and receive on board HMS Pluto Mr Spencer. To see the survey vessel to The Eddystone and then return to Scilly.
