Folios 429-430: Robert Moorsom, HMS Niger, The Downs. Acknowledges receipt of the letter with the request relating to John Clarke, said to have been pressed from the Neptune. The Officer was Lieutenant Garnier, at present in London, so Captain Moorsom is unable to give further details, but John Clarke appears on the books as a Volunteer who has received the Bounty of £5 as an Able Seaman.
