Description

Folios 318-319: James Montagu, HMS Montagu, Spithead. Acknowledges orders to proceed to Antigua, with the Store Ship HMS Dromedary. On arrival, he and the Commander of HMS Dromedary will put themselves under the command of Rear Admiral Alan Gardner. HMS Montagu needs 243 Petty Officers and Seamen and 79 Marines as per the enclosed state and condition report but he will depart as soon as she is complete and HMS Dromedary arrives.
