Folios 241-242: James May, HMS Dolphin, Chatham. He has never received orders for carrying the Supernumeraries belonging to the Hospital on board HMS Dolphin. Also reports that he has today received orders from Admiral Dalrymple to send Jeffery Vickers, Acting Carpenter, to be examined prior to superannuation. If he is found unfit for service, requests the appointment of Samuel Innes, Carpenter of HMS Assurance. He has been assisting Jeffery Vickers ever since HMS Dolphin was commissioned, and has requested the transfer.
