Folios 231-232: George Maxwell, HMS Lord Mulgrave, Hull. Repeats his request to go to sick quarters in view of his bad health, which is getting significantly worse. He has received information that Captain Rolles. having been appointed, has gone to Devon, preventing him from taking over command. Asks permission for immediate leave, putting the First Lieutenant in charge until Captain Rolles arrives.
