Folios 217-218: George Maxwell, HMS Lord Mulgrave, Hull. Has received the letter of 11 September with the Petition of John Storm for the discharge of Henry Thistleton, Mate of the brig Revolution of Hull, who was pressed on HMS Lord Mulgrave. The Officer who pressed the man stated that he was taken some distance from the town, on shore and not on ship's duty as stated in the Petition. He gave the Officer to understand that he was away from his ship on personal matters. He trusts this is sufficient ground for him being pressed. George Campbell, Mate of the Flora of Hull, was pressed on 12 September under similar conditions. He understands an application will be made for his discharge. He returns the Petition of John Storm.
