Folios 211-212: George Maxwell, HMS Lord Mulgrave, Hull Roads. Acknowledges receipt of the letter of 30 July, in reply to his letter requesting the recovery of wages due to Thomas Ward and Edward Wilson, who were pressed from the Ocean, and giving information that the said ship had a Protection. The Protection was produced to the Officer who went on board the ship, who found the two men hidden in the ship. It was some time before they were discovered. The Master behaved in a very insolent manner towards the 2nd Lieutenant while he was on board carrying out his duty.
