Folios 367-368: Samuel Sutton, HMS Victory, off Gibraltar. Has written to Vice Admiral Horatio, Lord Nelson giving an account of the captures he has made on his passage to Gibraltar in HMS Victory.
Folios 369-370: enclosure in folios 367-368. Copy of a Letter dated 12th June 1803 from Samuel Sutton, HMS Victory, off Gibraltar to Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson, 1st Duke of Bronte KB. Reports that he captured the French Frigate L'Embuscade (formerly HMS Ambuscade of 32-guns) Captain Jean-Baptiste-Alexis Fradin with 187 men, has taken 2 French merchant brigs one from Port au Prince bound for Nantes, the other Cape Francois to Bordeaux and the schooner from Martinico to Bordeaux with a cargo of cotton, coffee and sugar.
