Folios 246-247: Sir Richard John Strachan, HMS Donegal, off Europa Point, Gibraltar. The Prevoyante store ship is passing on her way to Gibraltar, and HMS Donegal remains on her current service, the squadron has been strengthened by the addition of HMS Agincourt, Lord Nelson expects the enemy to sail from Toulon, their Squadron consisting seven Ships of the Line, five Frigates and 2 brigs with 2 other ships of the line in the Inner harbour, the Spaniards are preparing, at Cadiz, 2 Ships of the Line and 2 Frigates have arrived from Cartagena with a further 3 of the Line expected, it is expected that 17 sail of the line are to be got ready at Cadiz, other ships of the line were there but with their yards and top masts struck, expects a convoy under the Charon and Cyclops from Malta to Gibraltar and thence to England, HMS Monmouth and HMS Antrobus will join the convoy when she arrives.
