Folios 23-25. Letter dated [January 24 new style] at Calais from Lord Portland to the King reporting his arrival there the previous night before ten o'clock; the governor, Monsieur de La Tour, received him with his coaches, and took him to stay with him, showing him such marked attentions that it was plain that he had had special orders from the Court. He will now leave for Boulogne and go to Montreuil, aiming to be in Paris on Friday in accordance with the King's orders.
