Extract, Railway Magazine, pages 83 to 86 and cutting page 126, 'Oxford, An Operational Problem', by R Eckersley, describes layout of station, signalling and signal-box siting, and the difficulties caused by the increasing length and weights of trains, with many changes of locomotives and splitting of trains. One line-drawn route map, four monochrome photographic illustrations, and timetable giving passenger traffic for summer Saturdays.
