Folios 141-147. Portion of a vindication, in much detail, of the conduct of the allied forces in not attacking the enemy after the siege of Namur for those questioning why they did not fight/beat the enemy at the Mehaigne. Includes discussion inter alia of: the need to maintain protection of places such as Huy, Liege, Louvain and Brussels; the superior numbers of the French army; the fall of the town in just four and a half days preventing the rescuing army from getting within range in time; the poor condition of the Spanish places.
