Folios 139-140. [The Elector of Bavaria, Maximilian II Emanuel,] to the King. Has come into possession of a plan given to the French King for conducting the last campaign. It is worth a perusal. The enemy is quiet, and the Marquis de Boufflers' journey to Mons was only for the ceremony of the creation of a canoness. Preparations of the enemy on the Sambre and Meuse seem defensive. News from within France speaks continually of a plan for Namur. Plans to go to Namur with General-Major [Daniel Wolfgang Baron van Dopff] to assess in situ what could be done for a rescue in case of a siege. The Prince of Vaudemont has given his views on this to Dopff, he not being in good enough health to undertake the trip Fragment.
