Folios 112-113. Copy. News from Switzerland. Refers to a debt repayment agreement with Monsieur Amelot in the hopes of recovering money to relieve the costs of their rescue of Geneva. France is reported to desire the Cantons to make peace proposals between the King and the Duke of Savoy and offers to accept them as mediators in this matter. There are as yet no dispositions to hear them, albeit the number of friends of France is growing. Messieurs Cox and Hervard are said to be most like owls there than any other bird, being without business or commerce with anyone. The town of Geneva is now thought to be safe, with the French troops at a distance, for the most part retreated to their winter quarters in the Dauphine. Discusses military matters and movements.
