Folios 275-276. Memorial to the King urging him to keep in mind the warning, given to the Duke of Schomberg, about the enemy's design on the castle of Hohentwiel two miles from Schaffhausen, near Lake Constance, an important position commanding all communication with Switzerland. Recommends that the King alert the Generals commanding on that side to this so that they may keep an eye on the situation. This has reminded the Duke of Schomberg of the thought that should the Allies wish to act on the Upper Rhine, they could easily fall upon Bourgogne, passing only via a small corner of Switzerland. Sets out further related thoughts.
