Folios 215-217A. A letter from Wm [William] Fransisco [Francis] del Castillo Faxardo [Francisco Castillo Fajardo, Marquis of Villada Rias] reporting that his defences against the siege [of Charleroi, Spanish Netherlands] will soon be overcome. The enemy trenches have almost reached to adjacent to the magazine, 'which is the attack they made at the gate of Brussels and Orme'. Fajardo acknowledges that he can expect no relief as, upon the arrival of De Manuy, he mentioned 'nothing about you'. Folios 215-216 are an English translation of Folios 217-218.
