Folios 207-208. Declaration by the King, in his own handwriting and dated at Loo. States that, as Charleroi holds out so well, and as the army of the enemy ought to be much diminished, he has resolved to attempt the succour of the place. Gives orders for the recipient to march with the Dutch troops at Liege to the relief of Charleroi. In the event that Baron Heyden is unable to march with the eight battalions of Brandenburg, his intention is for the recipient to take with them all the State battalions and that the eight Brandenburg battalions remain to guard the place. They will have to march on the day they are given by the Elector of Bavaria, who will send them this letter. [Addressed to Count of Tserclaes ? See SP 8/14 ff 206].
