Folios 201-202. Unsigned memorandum on the progress of the French siege of Charleroi, dated at Namur. Reports that 85 prisoners arrived there the day before, taken from the redoubts including: 12 Spaniards, 1 reformed 'Alfer' [Ensign?], 1 captain, 2 lieutenants and 2 German 'Alfers' [Ensigns?]. Fate of Captain Correa unknown. Details of the attacks and allied troops located in the place, as well as challenges related to mines. Vauban writes to Marshall de Joyeuse (who is still there wounded) that they would have already taken the place were it not for the mines; he does not want to sacrifice people unnecessarily, as it is only matter of three or four days. Marshall Boufflers is at 8 or 9 leagues from there with 14 battalions and 40 squadrons and it is said he will go to see Luxembourg.
