Folios 97-102. Prince Louis of Baden to the King, dated at Hailbrun [Heilbronn]. Reports that Saxony, Brandenburg and Palatine troops have finally joined his. Provides details of their strength and comments that they are good troops and not tired. The French have crossed the Neckar with their pontoons, 50 leagues from their army prior to the junction, but as yet seem indisposed to adopt any decided course of action. Has nothing to fear from the army of the Dauphin [Louis 'le Grand Dauphin'], provided his own forces will wait patiently for the moment to give battle. The 'circles' are holding fast against the menaces and flattery of France. Affairs are proceeding most satisfactorily in Hungary, and he is confident that they will become masters of Belgrade. Has been told that Huy Castle has been taken by the army of Luxembourg.
