Folios 54-55. Mons. Barbesieux [Louis François Marie Le Tellier, Marquis of Barbezieux?] to Mme de Louvois. After the King of France had received news of the capture of Heidelberg, he was ready to send an army into Germany so that - together with the army of the Marshal Lorges - they could make such a powerful effort that the Princes of the Empire, even the Emperor [Leopold I] himself, found themselves obliged to reach an accommodation with the King. Refers to the strength of the French cavalry and infantry, their planned movements and states that 'Le Prince d' Orange ' is encamped near Louvain across several difficult streams/rivers and a thick forest which will prevent them from going to him as the King would have wished.
