The Standing Conference on Archives and Museums (SCAM) was a partnership set up in 1989 with representatives from the Museums Association, the Society of Archivists and the Association for Independent Museums (AIM). Its purpose was to promote understanding and developing ways of working together across the work areas of the three groups.
