Folio 208. Memorandum dated at the camp of Ham. Reports the surrender of the Chateau of Namur the day before, details the events and indicates it is difficult to judge whether this was driven more by cowardliness or treachery. The Duke de Luxembourg and Marshall Boufflers went that day to l'abbaye de Floret to meet with the King and receive orders for the rest of the campaign. It is said that the King will return Saturday, that 100 squadrons will be detached for Germany as well as some troops for Normandy. The writer indicates that they will be instructed on all of this in two to three days at which point he will share the information. La Valette left that morning for the lines with the brigades of Vozel and Bosle.
