Folio 203. Letter from [Lord Godolphin] to the King requesting leave to 'go into the country to drink the waters' for the sake of his health and for his attendance at the Treasury to be dispensed with, at least for the time being in case the King should still be averse to his complete retirement. Godolphin says that the King now has others that are not only more capable of serving him not only at the Treasury but also elsewhere than he (Godolphin) can pretend to be.
