Folios 146-148. Letter from [Lord Godolphin] to the King dealing chiefly with the urgent necessity of finding money not only for the weekly subsistence of the army but the extraordinary expenses for the troops still to be embarked and the land service of the ordnance. Godolphin mentions Sir John Lowther's brother as a possible replacement for Sir Rowland Gwynne whose 'impertinence has made so little doubt here' of the King removing him and also the difficulty in finding men for the new commission for the revenue of Ireland in connection with which Mr Culliford and Mr Dickinson are mentioned.
