The Contracts for Difference (CfD) is a scheme managed by the Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC), a limited private company established in 2014 by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). The scheme is delivered in partnership with Ofgem, the National Grid ESO, and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (formerly with BEIS).
