Folios 215-216: Frederick Lewis Maitland, HMS Loire, Cork harbour. Reports that the Boatswain has still not joined the ship after eight weeks. The Boatswain's conduct has been poor and nothing has prevented Maitland bringing the Boatswain previously on two occasions to a court martial but the difficulty of obtaining it on this station without the ship being ordered to England.
