Folios 211-212: Frederick Lewis Maitland, HMS Loire at sea. Recommends James Gardener, Quartermaster on HMS Loire, for a Gunner's warrant. Adds that Gardner distinguished himself in storming the fort in [Muros?] as well as cutting out a Spanish privateer where he was wounded.
