Folio 163. Copy of a letter from Mons. de Bressey to the Prince of Waldeck, dated at Namur. Reports the assembly of troops around Thuin, and the 8,000 pioneers which have been ordered. Someone from Charlemont had told him yesterday they believe there will be a siege of Charleroi, and he [de Bressey] believes that a large number of pioneers due to arrive at Philippeville the following day are coming for that purpose. The Governor of Dinant has gone to Paris, the Count of Montal is at the Court where he awaits orders to go to Maubeuge. The troops from Alsace are coming to Mezieres, Sedan and Charleville with a number of boats charged with forage which cannot descend [due to?] lack of water.
