Folios 160-160A. Unsigned letter, dated at Culenburg, referring to the settlement of affairs in Nuremburg, and to the troops in Swabia and Franconia. As to the accounts given by Count de Windisgratz, the writer asserts that the recipient's action in the last campaign should shelter him from such discourse, and if he can moderate the Elector's feelings on this topic so they can focus on public service for the glory of the present Elector and the reputation of the recipient to continue without diminution from that of the former Elector, this would be good work. Counsels the recipient on his disgust at certain disappointments/challenges. The writer assures himself that the recipient will show himself a good German and affirm and second the praiseworthy and generous intentions of the Elector of Saxony with regard to his army.
