Folio 157. The Prince of Waldeck to the King, dated at Culenburg. Count de Solms, notwithstanding all his preparations and a good number of troops, cannot carry out what he intended, although he will do his best. He would go to him in person, if it were not for the pain in his right side worsening still, such that he can barely write nor mount a horse. The money from Madrid and England will contribute greatly. The directions for filling up the vacant posts amongst the officers have not yet been received; this causes great hindrance, especially in the regiment of Duke Ernest of Saxony who is lacking many.
