Folios 150-154. A letter from Prince Louis of Baden to the King, dated at Ganzburg. Begs the King's forgiveness for delaying the Count of Frise a few days in reaching him, which he judged necessary for the public good and the service of the King, recognising how important it is for both that the King be clearly instructed of the positive state of their affairs. Informs him of matters connected with the army, and hopes, in the spring, they will have a considerable number of men to confront the enemy. Notes that Alsace and other neighbouring countries are overloaded with troops. Hopes soon to go to the King, his master, to confer with him on plans for the good of the cause.
