Folio 59. A letter from the Prince of Waldeck to the King, dated at Ninove. Reports have just been confirmed that the Duke of Luxembourg will station and camp his troops by Ipperen [Ypres?], wishing to fortify Vurne [Veurne]. It is for the King to judge whether the march to Gaveren would serve any purpose, and he awaits his orders. Brigadier Stain [Stayn] says that the French still have 500 wounded at Tournai, nearly all of whom are dying. The Prince of Birkenfeld says he cannot subsist through the coming winter: he has not been paid, and having no credit, begs permission to winter in Germany.
