Folio 141. A letter from the Prince of Waldeck to the King, dated at Anderlecht. Reports that the Duke of Luxembourg posted himself at Halle that morning. Waldeck was unable to warn of this not having the troops together - the Count de Tilly has close to six regiments and the English are not there either. The townsfolk wished to be paid before allowing the troops to leave the garrison of Halle; 2,400 men who are unable to leave at night as the Marquis of Gastanaga ordered via the Marquis of Grigny. Waldeck will consult with the Count of Solms, Marlborough and the others on what to do; the enemy is said to want to attack them in various places.
