Folios 138-139. A letter from the Prince of Waldeck to the King, dated at Anderlecht. Refers to movements of the Duke of Luxembourg to Lessines and the belief that he will cut across at Soignies, which will be embarrassing. He is assembling all the troops he can, but of the English he has not yet been able to pull more than three regiments from Ghent and one from Dendermonde, which will be there the following day. If the Spanish provide the 40 squadrons they promised their forces will match those of Luxembourg, notwithstanding that he has left Tilly with four cavalry regiments alongside the regiments of Francke. with orders to ensure he is not cut off from being able to join them. He will also bring the other English they are able to without completely leaving bare the places. His infirmities mean he needs the Count of Solms and other generals. There are troops of the Elector of Brandenburg in Liege, which cannot be abandoned. Has received news that the Duke of Luxembourg has crossed and is camped near [Enghien?].
