Folio 131. Extract of a letter from Major General Theil, dated at Namur. Relays reports just received that the enemy, after having the gates of Dinant closed all day, built a bridge on the Meuse for 25,000 men to cross with 700 wagons loaded with bombs, shells, grenades and all sorts of artillery, with 15 pieces of large cast-iron canon. They firmly believe this is destined for Huy. Charleroi and Namur had been threatened with bombardment. If this is for Huy, Liege will be desolated and their borders on alert. At the time of writing he has received an express that the enemy is marching and crossing the bridge over the Meuse they built at Dinant.
