Folios 125-126. A letter from the Prince of Waldeck to the King. Since the movements of the French troops reveal premeditated plans, he is forced to assemble the troops and is having all of the infantry camp, even those he had left under the orders of M d'Ouwerkerk near Haren on the Brussels canal, leaving M d'Ouwerkerk with 11 cavalry and two dragoon regiments between Louvain and St Trond to observe what they can on the Meuse and in Brabant, and to join him as needed. With the Spanish and Brandenburgers he will have [35?] battalions and 83 squadrons, not counting the troops further afield in Liege, the English and the Mons garrison currently in Brussels. The troops from Mons are without equipment but will comply with orders to go on campaign. He would not dare make the English march, for the reasons the Count of Solms will have explained, so that he awaits the King's orders as to who should march. In the meantime he will hold some ready to march. The Marquis of Gastanaga wishes for them to camp in Halle, which Waldeck thinks subject to considerable inconvenients without having all the army together.
