Description

Folio 75. A letter from the Prince of Waldeck to the King, dated at Halle. Since closing his last letter, General Spaen has shown him a detailed order that he must not only send back the 4,000 men identified [see SP 8/9/67] but also bring back the rest of the 6,000 men. Waldeck is concerned that complying with such an order will leave him depleted ("je me verray plumé que je ne pourray pas voler loing"). It is by the orders of Hayden and of Munster that this disorder arises as he [Waldeck] does not want to give permission to anyone to distance themselves from the troops. He awaits the King's orders before he executes this order.
