Description

Folios 189-190: Arthur Farquhar, HMS Desiree, off the Texel. Responds to an order from Richard Curry, Captain, HMS Roebuck to state to the Admiralty the descriptions of Thomas Topping and John Griffin who escaped from the Le Velocifer prize, while sailing up the river Thames. Advises that the 2 men were only on board for a couple of minutes before the Prize entered the port and there was not opportunity to take their descriptions but annexes copies of remarks, regarding the 2 men, by the Prize Master.
