Folios 142-143. Letter from Lord Marlborough to the King that by the next post the King will have an account of the number of recruits now that the regiments are not to be broken. Lord Godolphin has shown him the King's letter which was so full of kindness that Marlborough hopes the more Godolphin thinks of it the better it will be although he has not as yet changed his mind.
