Folio 46. A paper entitled 'An Address to all the English Protestants in this Present Army' asking those serving in the army of James ll how they can call themselves Protestants and 'change their birthright of English laws and liberties for martial or club law and help to destroy all others only to be eaten last yourselves'. The writer says that the same consideration is also offered to the English seamen 'who have been the bulwark of this nation against popery [Roman Catholicism] ever since eighty eight'.
