An unsigned letter [from Queen Mary II] to the King [William III], dated at Whitehall [Middlesex] concerning the [Jacobite] Montgomery Plot and Lord Annandale's confession to the Queen. It was given on condition of not being required as an 'evidence' [witness], and the text was transcribed in the hand of Sir Wm [William] Lockhart. Mentions: Sir J [James] Montgomery [of Skelmorlie]; Simpson; Lord Ross; Lord Melville. D'Alone is sending to Lord Portsmouth a copy of the letter from the [?Grand] ?Pensionary's [?Antoine Heinsius] [on an unspecified matter].
