Folios 295-298. A memorial concerning the plot [Jacobite Montgomery Plot] to return King James [II] to Scotland and England, entitled 'A full and faithful account of the conspiracy William Earl of Annandale was with others engaged in against the government written from the Earl's own mouth by Sir William Lockhart and delivered by the Earl to the Queen's [Queen Mary II's] most excellent Majesty'. Mentions: Lord Ross; Sir James Montgomery of Scallmorelie [Skelmorlie]; Robert Ferguson [?the Plotter]; Simpson; Nevill Payn [Neville Payne]; Captain Williamson, whose house was near Hide [Hyde] Park, [Middlesex]; Sir Robert Clerk; Archibald Moor; Patrick Johnson; James Hamilton; the Earl of Arran; commissions for the Duke of Hamilton and Sir James Ogilvie, to be [Privy] Counsellors; commissions for James Stuart to be Lord Advocate; an exemption from a proposed general amnesty for the Earl of Neville. Lord Levin, Lieutenant General Douglas, Major General [Hugh] Mackay, Sir John Dalrimple [Dalrymple], and the Bishop of Salisbury [Gilbert Burnet] and the Lord Advocate [John Dalrymple] are also mentioned,
