Folios 281-282. An unsigned letter [from Queen Mary II] to King [William III], dated at Whitehall [Middlesex] in which the Queen express her concern for her husband's safety: 'I think had not your letter come as it did I should have taken sick with fear for your dear person'. Refers to news of the French withdrawal from Limerick [Ireland] and hopes 'it will prevent any more fighting'; and to William's stated intention to now return home. The Lord Stuart [Lord High Steward, Lord Devonshire] will write proposing a new parliament, which is a measure supported by the Lord president [Carmarthen]. Mary has had a meeting with Lord Anandall [Annandale], who is 'to tell all', following which Mary is to procure a pardon for him from William. This case is linked to Lord Melvil [Melville's] deception by Sir James Montgomery. The Queen says she has met Monsieur Hop and Monsieur Olderson, and that Lord Nottingham will update William on business.
