Folios 279-280. A letter from the Prince of Waldeck to the King, dated at the Camp at Bois [sur Ysault?]. They are there and the Marquis of Gastanaga at Halle. Together, the armies of the Elector and the State[s General] number some 40,000 men, amongst which are 6,700 State cavalrymen who have not been fully [reassured]. Since Marshal d'Humieres has returned to his corps camped at Pont de [Canap?], the Marquis of Gastanaga claims he will go and pressure them while the armies of the State and of the Elector observe. M. de Luxembourg is said to have 4,5000 men and awaiting more troops. The Dauphin, from what is said, has crossed the Rhine at Fort Louis, which calls for the Hessians and the Elector of Bavaria. They will remain together for some more days to see the countenance of the enemy. The French fleet have offloaded some Infantry at Dunkerke, apparently some 10,000 men taken from Ireland, but they are advised that they are battalions which were 'sur la flotte' [in the fleet/floating?] and went to France. Their poor prisoners hope for release if it is true that the King took so many prisoners in Ireland.
