Folios 167-169. An unsigned letter [from Queen Mary II] to King [William III], dated at Whitehall [Middlesex] expressing thanks to God for the King's preservation [at the Battle of the Boyne]. [Admiral Cloudesley] Shovell is the 'best officer of his age', although he, like [Admiral Henry] Killigrew, is behind Sir Richard Haddock and Sir John Ashby [?in seniority]. Also mentions: Lord Nottingham, Lord Pembroke, Mr [Edward] Russell; and the Duke of Grafton.
