Description

Folios 144-145. An unsigned letter [from Queen Mary II] to the King [William III] [in Ireland], dated at Whitehall [Middlesex] concerning defeat at the Battle of Beachy Head. [First Lord of the Admiralty, the Earl of] Torrington was the only man who 'had no mind to fight' and 'will never be forgiven here'. Mentions the sending away of Mr [Edward] Russell; and Lord Nottingham and Lord Monmouth.
