Folios 96-99. A letter from Lord [President] Carmarthen, dated at London, concerning the campaign in Ireland. Has received news of King [William III's] embarkation on 11 June 1690. Hopes the favourable winds will 'remedy the mistake of those ships which are gone to ?Kisenbright', and alludes to Pembroke's Regiment being boarded at Portsmouth [Hampshire]. He has imparted the Kings command about Parliament to Queen [Mary II] but she will need directions concerning what to deliver to the Great [?Privy] Council. In Scotland, it is hoped Sir John Cochrane and Mr [?Robert] Ferguson [?the Plotter], who have corresponded with 'the Club', have been detained in custody, in a matter connected with the buying of horses for Lord Ross. With the Dean of [St] Paul's, the writer intends to 'make some reconciliation in the city'. His son's interest seems to interfere with [Post Master General and former Leveller,] Major [John] Wildman's. Also mentions Sam [Samuel] Moreland.
