Administrative / biographical background

The International Government Printing and Publishing Association (IGPPA; formerly The International Government Printers Association) is a non-profit making membership of service providers to national and state governments. It was formed in Washington DC in 1988, and quickly grew to include 80 member institutions. Members are responsible either directly, or through third parties, for production and dissemination of national legislative information in a variety of formats. At a meeting of the Executive on 28 September 2010, it was decided to wind down the IGPPA at the end of 2010. The UK Government was represented by Her Majesty's Stationery Office (HMSO).
